I am a few days late but my 1 month post op was on 12/3/16!!

I'm not going to say it went by quick because it didn't. I was one of the unlucky persons who was just going through it the first 2 weeks.

I have officially lost 15lbs which I am really excited about. My confidence is coming back. I still have one more week of soft food and I am still working on getting enough Protein and Water in a day.

I can't say how much I miss being able to gulp!

I work in the ER so my average steps in a day are around 16,000-18,000 ranging from 4-6 miles a day. And that's pretty much 4x a week. So no working out either. I do push ups from time to time though.

I do feel like I am going at a very slow process but I am happy to be at least 15lb down.

I wanted to put up a face to face to help motivate people especially the 1-2day post op sleevers. It gets better. I can't wait to see what I look like at my 2 month Post op! Top is surgery day and bottom is today! STATS:

Damn, that is a beautiful smile!

16K steps a day?! Incredible! I was winded walking from my couch to the bathroom one month out from my surgery. You are going to be a superstar success of you follow the rules eating and keep walking like that.

I'll be watching you to see how brightly you shine.

Congrats! We are at the same stage and have the same stats (mostly). My 1 month was 12-2. I feel like I could've written the same post! (Minus the walking.) I've not been getting around much, feeling pretty tired a lot. HW 243; SW 231; CW 213; GW 165. Keep it up!

Thank you for sharing. It's amazing how much a difference 15 lbs can make! I haven't had my surgery yet. I am a nurse on a busy medsurge /tele unit. I've been looking for other medical workers on here and I'd love to have input on how quickly you were able to go back to work, what your experience was like, dos and donts, etc.

I was back at work after 4 weeks working 12 hr nights. Probably could have gone back sooner because I felt great but still had a lifting restriction. Best of luck to you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
