lisa52 12 Posted December 11, 2016 Just now saw your post...we should keep in touch since we're so close and have close surgery dates and the same surgeon. Are you having your surgery at Journeylite or at Jewish? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
dawnsie21 1 Posted December 30, 2016 Hi lisa52. I also had VSG with Dr. Curry on the 12! How's your recovery going? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
lisa52 12 Posted December 30, 2016 Recovery is going very well, I never had any pain or any nausea or anything. Of course I'm on puréed right now and sometimes I feel like I can eat and drink more than I am supposed to be able to. How about you, how is your recovery going? dawnsie21 1 Posted December 30, 2016 I'm doing great! I had a lot of nausea at first but it has subsided and I'm doing better. I'm on puréed right now too and am having trouble drinking enough throughout the day but otherwise doing well. dawnsie21 1 Posted January 11, 2017 Hi RLHgetsVSG! Congrats on your surgery! Yes,they do put you to sleep for the EGD. I went in to the surgery suite, was put to sleep, had procedure and in recovery in 20 minutes! Dr. Curry removed a polyp from my esophagus as well. He is an amazing surgeon! I will have to try to keep that in mind. I am through JourneyLite, Dr. Trace Curry. What kind of pre-op diet were you on? Samsung Galaxy S7
