Stop worrying about calories?

I agree that the whole concept of "dieting" causes you to be thinkng to much about food. Have you ever talked to a person who doesn't struggle with thier weight? They don't think about food the way that an overweight person does. For the most part a thin person is able to balance what they eat, making better choices to eat healthier foods, but also eating other types of foods that they enjoy from time to time.

Learning to eat things that were previously "bad" in smaller quantities and learning "everything in moderation" is key. Not constantly obsessing about everything that goes into your mouth, which will eventualy lead to feeling deprived and then binging. The lap band seems to help people to acheive a more balanced approach to eating.
