I wanted any suggestions. I'm a big soda drinker and I can only drink so much plain Water I was looking for teas that are natural and taste good. I was looking at skinny bunny tea or the republic of teas . Have anyone try any of these or is there a kind you prefer?

You can buy one of each of a few brands and set up a taste test for yourself. What appeals to another person's tastebuds may make yours go on strike or vice versa.

I love raspberry- hibiscus by Stash. It's absolutely delicious, slightly sweet and slightly tart. I drink it by the gallon.

Buy samplers! This is the best way to try new teas. If you hate it, you only have a couple bags instead of a whole box. Numi teas has a really nice box that I'm working my way through now.

The Stash holiday teas right now are good.

If you're going to try Republic of Tea, try the ginger peach. They also have some nice holiday teas.

Stash has a nice mixed fruit box, I am a huge lover of teas. You can let a few bags soak overnight and have ready for next day (cold brew). The berry combo is good. LOVE the ginger peach by Republic! If you are a beginner, you might start with flavors you would like think whether vanilla, chocolate, berries, and then read sights like Bigelow. Best to try herbals or non caffeine.

See the republic has ones have like get charged and get clean. They have no caffeine but give you a natural boost. Right now I'm drinking click o espresso which is like a Meal Replacement but has lots of caffeine.

I hated Water wouldn't drink it at all. But now I can't get enough of it. Don't be surprised if your taste doesn't change.

I used to manage and open Teavanas. What are you interested in? There's all kinds.

I want something healthy but still has good taste. I like fruit. I saw a chocolate ones.
Any of their fruit herbals/rooibos are caffeine free and quite tasty - like juice when iced. Chocolate won't taste as good as it sounds/smells in store (like watery cocoa). Oolong tea helps with digestion if you drink it regularly (2x/day). It has a bit more caffeine, but still low.

I'd try a sampler kit. There should be plenty given the Holidays. You won't get any health benefit from bagged tea (but it won't hurt you either)

Happy to answer any other questions! Best wishes!

I love republic of tea! They have lots of rooibos based teas that are naturally caffeine free! As well as some other herbal teas - I'm enjoying a cup of cranberry spice hibiscus right now.

Harney and Sons is also a great source for really good teas.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
