It is actually really nice. The only thing is that a bit of Fiber makes it easier to go when it is time to go. I found that eating chili from Wendy's is a great lunch for 2 days so I buy it twice a week and it is all of the fiber that I need.

Early on it was every 3 or 4 days, I won't let it go longer than that.

Now at almost 1.5 years it is every or every other day, depending on how much fluids I get in.

Do you think you go more often because you are further out and can take more in...?

Every 4-6 days. Not constipated, it's just such a way smaller amount of food that it has a longer travel time. I rarely had gas before and now I go days without farting.

If you want to be more regular try Probiotics. The live kind that is encapsulated so they can survive your stomach acids.

5 months out. Every 1-2 days.

A lot of the replies in here confuse me because I'm about 2 weeks out and it's every other day, pretty much; I'm extremely regular, now...I don't eat much, and I don't "put out" much, but it definitely happens frequently!

It probably depends on the specific person. Also, maybe, how active you are? Activity can help move it faster through your system, if you know what I mean. I definitely am more likely to ahem the day after I get my steps in!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
