lcubanita21 0 Posted September 14, 2007 Hello everyone! I have been trying to get the gastric bypass for the past 5 years and recently I deceided to try again but for the lapband. Finally, I have a surgery date of October 16, 2007. In the past, I have gotten denied twice and approved twice for the surgery. The 1st approval went thru but the day right before my surgery, I had gotten a phone call from the nurse sayign that she had to cancel my surgery b/c my insurance wasn't going to pay for it after they had approved it. needless to say I was extremley devasted. the 2nd time I had gotten approved I couldn't get the surgery b/c I had just found out that I was pregnant. so 9 months later, I decided to try again, (a final time but with a whole different doctor) to get the surgery. so here I am.
