JessDen 0 Posted November 28, 2016 JessDen I'm hoping to have the surgery in the 2017 calendar year, the only thing I'm worried about is a past surgery that I've had. When I was 16 I had some of my colon removed due to colon polyps. I now have what's left of my intentines ran to my rectum so I don't have to wear a colostomy bag. I worried a dr won't give me the surgery due to this. Does anyone know or heard of anyone that has had a similar concern? Thank you!
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted November 28, 2016 I don't know of anyone who has your medical history. The best way to find out if you are a candidate for weight-loss surgery is to talk with a couple of surgeons in your area. Please try not to worry about being turned down, you'll be much better off. If a surgeon will not do bariatric surgery for you, it's to preserve your life. Get an answer first and then see what's next. Will you say what your weight and age are?
