Nice job.

What were/are your stats? How long did it take you to lose the weight? and how long have you kept it off?

Congrats...you look awesome!

You look amazing! So did you stick to low carb- exercise? did you lose it over one year or several years?

That's awful they wouldn't give you fills! I have never heard of such.

Congrats.

I am new on here and don't know how to reply to an individual. Yes, low carb, because my band won't let me eat breads. And I do work out five times a week. Yes, they wouldn't give me a fill a couple of times, and that was very frustrating. They told me they wanted me to do it on my own a little longer, blah blah, finally I went in a had a different guy that gave me my final fill and I lost the last 40lbs.

When you got the final fill- how was it? did you just know - that was it? do you PB a lot? I have had numerous fills and just never have gotten to that point yet.

You look great.

I'm almost four years out from being banded as well. I've gained back about 20 lbs. from where I was most comfortable, but surprisingly, I've heard from others that I look better with a little more meat on my bones. I'm working on losing at least 10 of those 20 lbs. That should make me feel better about where I am.

I was happy to ready your time frame as I am in my 7th month and still have only lost 10 lbs as you have said your Dr was slow to give you fills so is mine. I find when I exercise I am staving and then eat to fast and sometimes get stuck. It really is a learning tool to use over a long period of time.

My stats? I'm guessing what I weighed? I went from 265 size 22-20 to 155 size 8-10. It took a long time, because they wouldn't give me fills sometimes. Over a year.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
