Fill Doctor In NYC

Recommended Posts

:help:

My cousin was banded the same month as me. I was April 2nd and she was banded on April 30th the major problem is that I have had a fill every month since being banded and have lost over 40lbs while she still remains unfilled.

She has tried several times and had several failed appointments with her surgeon to get her first fill and it is almost 5 months since her surgery and she had gained all of her weight back. As to be expected she is highly upset and discouraged and mostly upset at the fact that she will have to literally start from scratch.

I wanted to know if any of you have any information on a fill center in New York City or if it was possible that she find another surgeon to continue her Post Op care with it would be grately appreciated.

Hey Syrenity:

I have my fills done at North Shore Hospital Manhasett, on Community Drive ( Nassau County). My surgery was done by Dr. Gadeleta - he is great and when it is time for a fill, he writes a script for me to the hospital (radiology dept.) to have it done, or he will do it in his office, I think the fee is $100.00. The office number is 516 482-8657 give them a call and see what they say.

I just went for my first fill last week with my surgeon, Dr. Paresh Shah. The whole thing was very easy - I was in and out in 30 mins. He sets aside time in the afternoons for fills. I can't praise him highly enough!

Just out of curiousity. Why has it been so hard to get a fill from your cousin's surgeon's office? Are they too busy or have they been unprofessionally ignoring her telephone calls?

Also, if she wants she can go to my surgeon's office. His team is excellent for fills. NYU Program for Surgical Weight Loss. 1st Avenue, 33rd Street, New York. The telephone number is: (212) 263-3166. 530 1st Avenue, to be exact.

/n.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
