Stopped losing weight.

Yes its normal. Try staying off the scales for a few days and see how you are then. I know its hard initially and we want to weigh everyday to see the numbers going down but as long as you are keeping to the plan it'll come off. Maybe just not every day!

19llbs in 11 days is amazing, focus on that and be kind to yourself.

Congratulations on the surgery :)

Yes I experienced the same thing. Actually didn't loose any weight for 9 days, but I continued following my plan and concentrated on getting in all of my daily Protein, fluids and minimum calories and on day 10 things began moving again. Very normal.

Hello :)

Yes, I am experiencing the same thing. My surgery was 11-14 and I have lost 15 pounds. The past few days, I haven't lost much of anything whereas before, I was losing 1-2 lbs. a day.

Glad to know that this is normal, and I will try to stay off the scales for a couple of days.

Good luck to you :)

DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY!!!!!!! The progress you make happens much faster that you were expecting, but it also does not happen at a constant rate. Your weight loss is more like the growth spurts of puberty - dramatic changes over time, but almost unnoticed from day to day.

If you want to know what is happening, go clothes shopping every 4-6 weeks. The changes as you shrink will be VERY apparent since your sizes will change just about every time!!

Hey everyone. Please I need a serious help????

I'm 6 weeks post op and I only loose 18 pound like 3 weeks after surgery, since then I haven't lost anything and just last week's my scale said I gain 2 pound back. I'm so scared and nervous that this will work for me. I'm doing everything by the book, going to the gym , I walk or run 5 miles within an hour 4-5 times a week. The only thing I noticed I do different is, I can not tolerate all my 64 Oz of Water but I do get like 24 Oz in or more. Pls help me if u have an idear what I need to do different.

When you first lose weight you lose lots of Fluid. You need that Fluid so after your body figures out that you aren't having an emergency, it readjust. If you are following your diet plan you are losing FAT no matter what the scale says.

I lost 20 pounds in the first three weeks, then gained some on the scale but yesterday my weight started dropping again.

Expect your weight loss to be like stairs not like a slide.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
