You look great. Did you have sagging/loose skin? If not, what did you use to keep from having it? If you don't mind my asking.

@@chukki Thank you! I haven't really had a problem with loose skin. I do feel all around soft and pudgy, though, so I know there's some room to bounce back.

Problem areas for me:

1. Turkey neck -- there are stretch marks/wrinkles under my chin now that drive me crazy. I'm trying some firming creams now because I'm only 35.. shouldn't have those yet!

2. Bat wings. My arms have always been the biggest part of me proportionally, I think I will probably have plastic surgery (brachioplasty) here eventually including down into the side-boob area. Time will tell. I'm going to give it another full year before I consider plastics.

3. I've carried the majority of my weight in my thighs. My inner thighs are pretty saggy/droopy, but I don't think I'll get it fixed. Par for the course. Pants will cover.

4. My tummy is puckered a little, but I think that time will smooth this out. Overall happy with how my stomach is beginning to lay flat!

I'm not too worried about these things overall, though. I feel great and I feel like my 'fat prison' is gone forever. I'm a new person and have the rest of my life in front of me!

A lot of people talk about the 12 months like that is law. I have a lot more to lose than you but I lost 140 pounds at 12 months and at 16.5 months I have lost another 34. People can keep losing after the 12 month mark if they have adopted a healthy lifestyle.

You look great and congrats on the loss!

I'm still at 800-900 calories a day. I hit this most of the time, or I just don't lose.

Breakfast: A bottle of Water before Breakfast, while I'm commuting

2-4 oz of scrambled eggs with ketchup or with a sausage patty

Lunch: meat Protein and veggie from work cafeteria. If nothing else looks good, I'll nab some grilled chicken from the salad bar and a few bites of my favorite veggies. Today they were serving tacos.. I love tacos! So I had taco insides with sour cream and guac, no shell.

Snack: One of the following: cheese or glass of fairlife milk, or maybe a Protein shake depending on how my Protein goals look. I also really love the Quest protein chips BBQ flavor. 6-8 small Kosher dill pickles if I've already had a heavy calorie day. String cheese. Handful of Sriracha cashews.

Dinner: meat protein and maybe veggie. I usually get lazy here and sometimes I'll get some panda express -- teriyaki chicken or angus beef, no sauce, with steamed veggies. That lasts me a few days. Or an order of wings and plantains from Pollo Tropical as a special treat. Or, I'll get into mega lazy mode and cook up a frozen turkey patty, or nuke some premade frozen meatballs with a little sauce of some kind (trader joes has a great peanut sauce, or bbq). Sometimes I'll pick up some sashimi on the way home, one of my favorites.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
