Treadmillwalker 486 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) My husband and I were at a family function and someone took my photo without me knowing and they sent everyone copies of all the photos they took. This is an excellent reminder for me of where I am at in this early stage in my journey. The photo serves as a great motivator. gowalking 10,790 Posted November 28, 2016 If this will help you to motivate, go for it. For me, I found my motivation in the scale going down and clothing sizes going in that same direction.
Vinasu 621 Posted November 28, 2016 Yeah, before surgery, my kids took some pics of me and shared them with everyone...and they wouldn't have been flattering in the best of cases. Anyway, it was one of my big motivators to make a change. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
BayougirlMrsS 3,935 Posted November 28, 2016 @@Treadmillwalker A picture was my motivation for getting LB surgery.... My husband took a picture and i didn't even recognize myself.... i was horrified. by the next week i was at a seminar.... That was 7.5 years ago... Malin 470 Posted November 28, 2016 I hate pictures people take of me. I never like them, and that's why I've decided to do this! I can completely relate!

shedo82773 1,236 Posted November 29, 2016 I HATE having my picture taken. My hubby is the same way. Our kids will be so sad when we aren't around because we just don't have that many pictures of us. I really regret not having before picture (I have a few but not many) Also, please take your measurements!! I really regret that I just didn't want to see those huge numbers!! Just like I didn't want my pictures taken. But...I still hate them!! Even tho I now weigh 125#'s and almost lost 1/2 of my body weight. SAD I know.

I will print a few copies and strategically place in my home, office, and car as a reminder of what I never want to look like again. Thank you! Julie norton 2,850 Posted November 29, 2016 (edited) I don't recognize the person in the pictures from 10 years ago. I am still surprised I was that big and really did not feel like I was. I am so thankful for Wls ... to just live life at a normal size. The world is easier to navigate in now. I will NOT go back! Keep going forward and know you have cyber friends here to help!! Best of luck! Edited November 29, 2016 by Julie norton
OzRoo 1,492 Posted November 29, 2016 When I had my rapid weight gain, I couldn't stand having a photo taken, and I couldn't stand looking in the mirror .... Yes, I never want to look like that, ever again! Months later, I am no longer photo shy.
