I drove after 1 week. I don't work but was back to full mom duty after about 7 days as well. I don't have any babies so no lifting or anything too strenuous.

I was okay for driving after a week (you need to be off narcotic painkillers for a minimum of 24 hours before driving). I went back to work after 2 weeks but honestly should have waited 3, I was too tired and couldn't make it through a whole day for the first couple days back at work.

Four weeks for both and wish I had had more time off. I was exhausted all the time and had to cat nap throughout the day.

I even went out to my car and slept in my lunch break.

Once I stopped the pain meds I was back to driving. Could have gone back to work then but glad I waited and rested for another week.

If I have surgery on Wednesday Jan 11, think I can go back to work one week? I work at a desk job with kitchen and it's only 15 mins from home.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
