BariatricBarbie 12 Posted November 27, 2016 This is for the pros...How long after your surgery did you feel the ability to go ahead and be up and driving again and working a clerical job (paperwork kinda job)? TiredOfMyself 141 Posted November 27, 2016 I drove after 1 week. I don't work but was back to full mom duty after about 7 days as well. I don't have any babies so no lifting or anything too strenuous.

Bufflehead 6,358 Posted November 27, 2016 I was okay for driving after a week (you need to be off narcotic painkillers for a minimum of 24 hours before driving). I went back to work after 2 weeks but honestly should have waited 3, I was too tired and couldn't make it through a whole day for the first couple days back at work. _Kate_ 2,224 Posted November 27, 2016 Four weeks for both and wish I had had more time off. I was exhausted all the time and had to cat nap throughout the day. I even went out to my car and slept in my lunch break.
#BirdDog 604 Posted November 27, 2016 Once I stopped the pain meds I was back to driving. Could have gone back to work then but glad I waited and rested for another week.

bossportsgal 136 Posted December 5, 2016 (edited) If I have surgery on Wednesday Jan 11, think I can go back to work one week? I work at a desk job with kitchen and it's only 15 mins from home. Edited December 5, 2016 by bossportsgal
