Katy2051 21 Posted November 26, 2016 From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I was elated. Then... the worry of gaining to much weight set in. Now, I'm worried since I haven't gained weight, instead I have lost a few pounds. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do? Surgery date/weight: 7.22.15 - 209lbs + Pregnancy test/weight: 8.16.16 - 140lbs Current weeks/weight: 19 weeks - 11.26.16 - 135lbs Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
wren3273 10 Posted November 26, 2016 I can't talk about pregnancy after surgery, but I know that in my pregnancy (pre-surgery), I didn't really begin to put on weight until around 20 weeks or so and actually lost 5-10 pounds during my first trimester due to morning sickness. I am sure your OB will let you know if they have concerns and advise you on what needs to be done. Congrats!

Katy2051 21 Posted February 4, 2017 I'm sorry, I can't answer that. I lost my baby at 20 weeks (a week after I made this post). Good luck to you and yours! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
MissouriMama 18 Posted February 24, 2017 I got pregnant 5 months after surgery and had a completely ideal pregnancy without any complications whatsoever. Gained 17lbs throughout and it was all gone two days after I delivered. I didn't gain anything until I was a few months in. I dropped to for the first couple months. Went right back to losing afterwards too. (I breastfed and am still 10 months out) Ive had to really boost my calories to not continue to lose but all has been well. I hope everything is going wonderful for you!
