I've been searching the forums and can't see any posts about anybody having a revision of their sleeve. I had VSG 3/2013 and got down to 142 for 2 years, and then the weight has started creeping up again, and I'm now at 170. I've tried doing Protein shakes, but it's not slowing down. I had been drinking iced lattes, and I cut them out so I'm not drinking my calories.

I still have some restriction, but my appetite is like before the surgery. It wasn't hungry pretty much ever for the first 2 1/2 years.

I was sleeved my Dr Fernando Garcia (great experience), and because of my history of esophageal structure mine was done slightly bigger than most patients. :(

If anyone could share their experiences I would really appreciate it.

Hi, I've had the sleeve done October 15(13 months ago). In the first 6 months I dropped 23kilos(sorry not sure in pounds).

So my weight loss was slow to average. It wasn't a dramatic loss like a lot of others I know .

From day 1 I changed my whole outlook on life.

A more positive frame of mind, eating my Proteins, not much carbs, sugars etc.

I even joined the gym & trained intensely 7 days a week.

Then at 6 months my weight stalled. Did not gain, didn't lose.

Nothing!!!!!!!

I started calling my doctor & he reassured me it was my body turning fat to muscle. So, I kept doing what I was doing but started becoming depressed.

Not even my body shape was changing. Clothes were still fitting the same.

I have been in my doctors office complaining , crying & jumping up & down that many times that he has finally booked me in for a " fizzy scan ".

This will take 3D images of my stomach & check for any tears or stretching.

Last week, he finally admitted that even his baffled as to why I've stopped losing anymore weight.

I'm not in denial, if I eat the wrong foods or cheat myself then I'm the 1st to admit it to my doctor, but, I've worked so hard to achieve the body that I've always dreamed of & wanted.

If there is an issue with my stomach , he's prepared to re trim my stomach.

I'm hoping this scan will put my mind at ease, either way.

I don't believe my body's only capable of losing so little in 13 months. But, after scan next week I'll know for sure.

What does your surgeon say?

Are you able to have this scan done to check that you're ok.

I wish you well & hope you get the answers your looking for

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
