I just saw this on Pinterest. I like that it is small portions versus making a whole pizza. I plan to give this a try in the next couple of weeks.

LOW CARB pizza chips RECIPE:

Ingredients:

20 slices pepperoni or salami (turkey pepperoni)

1 ½ to 2 sticks light mozzarella string cheese, sliced

⅓ cup Pomi pizza sauce, or use my homemade sauce recipe towards the bottom of the post

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

Place pepperoni slices on the lined baking sheet, and place a mozzarella string cheese slice on the center of each pepperoni.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or more until cheese starts to brown and pepperoni is crisp.

Remove pepperoni cheese chips from oven.

Let cool a little until cheese is dry (can pat with paper towel for excess grease once cheese is completely dry and crisp).

Serve with or without pizza sauce. Low carb ranch dressing is also good for dipping these in.

In another group, I have seen a pizza made with ground chicken for the crust, a pizza made with cheese as the crust and there is a RICOTTA BAKE that taste like pizza. If you want to find lots of recipes that are WL friendly check out "THE WORLD ACCORDING TO EGGFACE. Just a thought

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
