Good morning sleepers, hope your all doing well. Just want to put some of my difficulties out there. Had my sleeve 19 October, feeling great. My weight loss is very slow still. I had a stall for 3 weeks. I did loose 2 stone really quick then nothing for three weeks. Iv most a further 5 lb but that's taken over a month . Is it always going to be this slow. Would like to hear other people's experiences. Also is bread a no goer from now on in? Thinking this cause Iv read on here somewhere someone advising not to go near bread ?

I feel like I will be considered a slow loser but I stared at a lower BMI, so I kind of expect it. If I lose 3 lbs a week, I'll be happy. My surgery was 3 weeks ago today, and I've lost 14 lbs. However, before surgery I lost 27 so I'm at a total of 41. Sorry I don't understand what a stone is. The NO GO foods on my plan are bread, Pasta, rice, potatoes, corn and peas. I can have whole grain carbs 2-3X a week MAX. Maybe things will lighten up when I get to maintenance, but for right now, this is how it is. I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

Try on some smaller clothes and you will likely feel better. I am sure that you are losing size faster than the numbers may show.

As for bread, you can work it in, but if you are looking for rapid weight loss, especially initially, lay off of the carbs. It takes the place of needed Protein, but a Protein based low carb diet really does lead to faster weight loss.

my one rule of thumb is if there is something you can eat that is more nutrient dense go with that. bread tends be a poor choice when it come to being nutrient dense so I avoid it. You get out what you put in, so if you stick to foods that you get the most nutrition and few carbs and fat you are going to be better off in the long run

Best of luck to you all. I'm not sure what you should be eating at your stage, but I would definitely stay away from bread and sweets. The hardest thing to do is measure our accomplishments on where we think we should be. I believe you will be fine and you are exactly where you should be on your plan. Keep following your plan to a 'T' and you will be on your way.

I'm so happy you are not gaining and your metabolism will bow down as soon as you've crushed it even more with your good eating habits.

Water first, then Protein, veg and prescribed Vitamins and minerals. bread has nothing you need in it.

If you have a good look at what you are eating then check that you are moving enough to burn some calories, you can usually find the problem.

If you post a normal day's eating plan here, someone will tell you where you are going right or wrong.
