Treadmillwalker 486 Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) The American Psychological Association says willpower is “the ability to resist short-term temptations in order to meet long-term goals.” I'm working to remind myself of the above quote whenever head hunger tries to take over my thoughts. Murmuring to myself..."move away from the bread basket." Had lapband surgery 10/12/16 Edited November 21, 2016 by Treadmillwalker

blizair09 3,250 Posted November 21, 2016 Good definition! The one thing that many people still miss with regard to the sleeve is that grit, perseverance, willpower, and personal responsibility are key ingredients to success and that it simply will not work longterm without them. Aggiemae 739 Posted November 22, 2016 I have been really hungry today. I'm in the hospital and not sure if it's because of the 100 mg of prednisone, or because I am back on high Protein liquids because I can't swallow or maybe I'm just bored. Of course I can't go off and eat in the hospital so I just had a disolvable Calcium tablet as a snack.< /p> I'm just four weeks post sleeve and I think that people who say that WLS is the "easy way out" are clueless.
