DogRescueGal 14 Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) Looking for experiences from ladies who had a prior breast augmentation before their sleeve. How did your weight loss affect your implants? Did they sag? Did your skin bounce back in a way that kept them perky? After breast-feeding for nearly 3 years total between my two kids I ended up having a lift and implants placed. The girls look great even though they do have a little extra padding around them these days… Wondering what is going to happen to them when I lose weight. Also, for those who had an IUD in place, did this affect your weight loss at all? Considering having mine removed early next year sometime and having the hubby go in for the old snip-snip. I sometimes worry that the hormones from my Mirena are making it even more difficult for me to lose, and may make it more difficult even after the surgery Surgery scheduled for January 13, 2017. Just getting all my ducks in a row. Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Edited November 21, 2016 by DogRescueGal
FluffytoFab 12 Posted November 21, 2016 I have the Mirena and haven't had any problems with weight loss. Once a month, I will have slight bleeding and will drop about 10 pounds that week. I had thought about taking mine out to prior to surgery, but am glad that I decided to keep it. Hope that helps. Good luck on your journey!
DogRescueGal 14 Posted November 21, 2016 Did you have a period before with your IUD? I haven't had one since my first Mirena was placed about 7.5 years ago... wondering if spotting will be triggered. I have heard a lot from ladies who started their periods right after surgery. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
FluffytoFab 12 Posted November 22, 2016 I didn't have a period per say but the break through bleeding before (had the Mirena for 2 years before surgery). I did have bleeding for surgery due to the amount of weight I lost in my pre-op diet. The more you loss, the more estrogen your body releases and you could end up with the bleeding. Hope that helps.
