Hi Everyone! I'm new. I had my sleeve done on Nov. 9th. I've finally got to the point where it doesn't hurt to drink bigger than a sip but am not getting all my Water in yet. I drink Water and Crystal Lite. I've always liked plain water just fine, but lately have been wishing there was something else. I'm picky; don't care for coffee or tea. I'm a recovering soda fiend. Lol I wish there was something I could drink that would take away the after tastes of all those vitamins! Does anyone have any ideas or am I just out of luck?

I like some of the Ocean Spray diet cranberry drinks, like diet cran-lemonade, diet cran-pomegranate, and diet cran-mango.

G2 and Powerade Zero were go-to's for me as well.

I bought a few Isopure drinks but I think they tasted horrible. I just had a coupon for the Atkins Lift Protein drinks (they're clear like a Gatorade) so I bought a 4 pack of the berry - they're also sweet but much better than the Isopures. 20 grams of Protein - the bottle is as big as a regular sized Water bottle.

If you're looking for something that tastes like a "meal" then try making homemade chicken broth in the crockpot. Super easy and tastes just like chicken Soup but strained. Look for the recipe on Allrecipes.com

I second the Atkins Lift drinks, they are pretty tasty! I do try to stick to Isopure though. The grape and blueberry aren't too bad to me.

I just slice up lemons, limes, cucumbers sometimes fresh pineapple and make infused Water. I make 64 oz every evening for the next day. Cucumber (mash it up a bit), mint and lemon is my current favorite. Pomegranate is pretty good (you do have to crush the seeds)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
