yes - it broke during week 4. I dropped like 6-8 lbs within a couple of days. After that, I lost about 10-12 lbs every month for the first six or seven months (I kept losing after that - but it slowed down quite a bit - maybe 6-10 lbs from months 6-12, then 5 lbs or less per month after the first year. Some people lose slower, some faster... But you will have stalls along the way. Just stick to your program, and they'll eventually break.

depending on your weight now, you're going to have sag no matter how fast or slow you go. I'd just try to lose as much as I could without resorting to drastic (and unhealthy) means

Actually, I'm 64 and two and a half years out, I lost 120 pounds and didn't have much sag. Except for the boobs of course, but they were always a bit droopy!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
