It's normal to either not lose or gain a little weight during the early months of lap band surgery. It'll take a few appointments/fills before you notice any appreciable restriction. Hang in there and be patient, and don't go too hard on yourself if you're not losing quickly.

@@midgelovescookies, if I were you, I wouldn't worry about the two lbs. It sounds as though you've advanced to solid food which is the best time -- feeling like a "real" persnon in the real world. Follow the guidelines you were given and, if you haven't started, use a food tracker. My Fitness Pal is highly recommended. Keep track of everything, as it's a learning tool for times like this and times when rate of loss may slow. Losing one or two pounds per week means you're hitting the bull in his eye. If you pre-plan meals and grocery shopping, you'll be much happier than you will be on a primarily liquid regimen. Losing weight is happiest when we're like all the other kids, not doing something that feels like deprivation or punishment.

You'll be fine.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
