Shortness of breath is sometimes an indication that you may be having a heart problem. I would suggest you discuss this with your surgical team.

Hi thanks for the feedback!! I do take my blood pressure meds everyday but I do have bad allergies and I get sinus infections often! I also have anxiety attacks! They checked my heart in October and I was fine. So I hope it goes away soon, but I will let them know on surgery date!l if it doesn't go away!

Don't play games with your heart. "Surgery date" is only two days away and you say you're experiencing shortness of breath today.* Talk about it with your team in any case. If the surgeon determines that postponement is wise, it is.

* Do yourself a favor and don't quibble with me over several hours or days. I'm here with your well-being in mind. You're the one who introduced the topic, therefore, you're the one who is concerned.

Thank you for your response! Like they say if you have nothing positive to say don't say it! I went to they hospital today at night and they checked the lungs, heart, and blood work and everything is fine!! Dr said it's most likely anxiety!!! But thanks for the response!!!

You think I said something not positive? As you choose. At any rate, you were wise to get checked out. Good luck going forward.

Yea dr said it is stress and anxiety!!! Which I do have a lot of anxiety attacks!! And since I am unable to take any anti inflammatory NSAIDs I will be feeling like this until surgery!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
