cjorndorf 11 Posted November 20, 2016 I am newly sleeved I just under a week. I feel great and I'm excited to start exercising. I live in Michigan and starting to get too cold for me to walk outside due to my asthma. I like doing walking DVDs and U2 are walking workouts. Is it too soon to start those? Basically they're walking inside in different patterns but it would get moving. Family is worried about me pushing things too fast. Your thoughts? ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted November 20, 2016 I was walking a mile+ while still admitted to the hospital. I started walking outside the day I came home and the only restrictions for me were to not lift heavy things for 4 weeks. As long as you're not overexerting, don't have pain and are sure to stay hydrated, it's probably fine. Do your post-op instructions address exercise at all? RoachBug 233 Posted November 20, 2016 I was encouraged to start walking while still in the hospital also. You will still be healing for some time, so listen to your body and don't over do things. Walking will help jump start the weight loss and aide the healing. Best of luck in your journey.
