Raechel 75 Posted November 20, 2016 I am now 2 days post op and my back is killing me! I do have a lot of soreness from the incisions but I can't even get comfortable enough to go to sleep! (I'm a big stomach sleeper so that's obviously out) I had to spend an extra day in the hospital so I figured thats what it was but even after medicine and laying in my own bed it has yet to go away! Has anyone else experienced this? Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App

Raechel 75 Posted November 20, 2016 I was sleeping on my stomach on day 2.I'm beyond jealous! If I lay too far on my side of feels weird so I get nervous and roll back over. Hopefully within the next couple days it'll be a little better! Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App
ready_to_be_thin 179 Posted November 20, 2016 Your story sounds exactly like mine. I had problems coming get out of anesthesia so they kept me in the hospital for an extra day. I have had back surgery so I am a side sleeper. Well the whole time I was in the hospital I was on my back so I was in misery by the time I got out of there. I had very minimal pain from the surgery itself but the back pain was horrendous. You aren't alone! But I promise it will get better. mike_s 32 Posted November 21, 2016 I had a really bad hiatal hernia that the surgeon needed to repair before my gastric bypass. When I spoke with the surgeon after I was awake, he explained what he had to do and that my back would hurt because he had to stitch the opening in my diaphragm. Not sure if this is what you may have done or not, but mine went away after about a week. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Aggiemae 739 Posted November 21, 2016 Try a compression top. It really helped with my post op incision pain. They sell them at Target and Lane Bryant and more expensive ones are available at medical supply stores.
