JulieNYC 4 Posted September 12, 2007 That's just PERFECT!! Way to go!! I'm so happy for you! The key now is to not overdo it. Only run 2-3 times a week and keep it to intervals like what you did (you could build up to 6, maybe). Coast with that for the next 30 lbs of loss or so, then you'll kick it up a notch when your body starts to get bored. Until then, your main goal is to not get injured. WOOHOO!!!! losingjusme 12 Posted September 12, 2007 thanks guys, i do think i overdid it just a tad. so friday i'll do intervals again (3.7 walking and maybe 4.5-4.6 "running") i go really early in the morning so others dont hear me thumping on the treadmill. i didnt hear it, but of course my iPod was ALL the way up ... :eyebrows:
ragdollx19 1 Posted September 20, 2007 WOO HOO!! That rocks! My trainer actually had me jogging around the outside of the building the other day. I was amazed that I really could do it! Have you tried it again since then??

Have you ever had knee pain before... how did running effect knees etc??? I can't wait til' I think I can try to run with out serious injury! Congratulations... I am and have been keeping an eye on you and your success!! You are inspiring to me! Thank you!
Jachut 487 Posted October 1, 2007 WAY TO GO! Good for you, that would be a VERY sweet victory! Its just such a "normal" thing to do to run. Yes, it is OK to take walking breaks - unless your a complete mental idiot like me who is so freaking stubbourn that she just wont stop, lol. I'd have to fall down first. That's all it takes, a bit of stupidity, and you'll be running 5 miles in no time!
