Hey, who drinks what when they go out with friends, like what non alcoholic drinks do you order at the bar? Are fizzy drink off the menu for life? Thanks

It's advised not to drink fizzy drinks after surgery, however we are all told different things by different teams so go with what your surgeon tells you. If I go out, I tend to drink a slimline tonic Water, with lemon or lime in it. It looks like a gin and tonic. It usually lasts me all night and I sip it slowly.

In between sips I might burp like a navvy though haha.

Ha I'm with you on that one Kate., but I still can't drink fizzy so I have a glass of wine and it lasts all night or the dreaded J20. God I'm a cheap date now

How long did you leave it before you tried alcohol? I'd like a drink at Xmas, I'll only be 4 weeks post sleeve though...

7 weeks. A bit early, I know, but only a little at a time. I think it depends on the individual and how you/your sleeve is coping. Also, how you are coping with food. Be safe.
