I ate Peanut Butter starting in the pureed stage. Started eating nuts at 6 months. There are always mixed nuts in my house for snacking. Those 2/$1 Planters peanut packs in every single gas station are the number one thing I turn to when I'm on the road and need a snack. Met goal weight (160 pounds down) and have maintained at 6 years out, So yes, I have had immense weightloss success while still eating nuts. Like everything else, irs all about moderation.

The only way I have success with nuts is to keep the plain, raw nuts in my house -- the kind you find in the baking aisle, not the snack aisle. When I really want some nuts, I weigh out the amount I can allot myself and stay within my daily calorie goals, then season and roast them myself. If I keep ready-made snack nuts in the house I will eat them basically until they are all gone. And I don't mean over the course of a week or a month, I mean in a single sitting.

I eat them a lot. Only 2 months out. I like almonds the best cashews. Peanuts aren't *technically * a nut. They are a legume. But that doesn't mean a thing to me. Just a fun fact. I'm down 32 lbs. I obviously can't eat a full portion of anything at the moment but I do measure out the serving size. Those small sleeves at Gas stations are awesome.

I just bought some mixed nuts today. I love nuts. I plan on having then sparingly and only if I am low in calories for the day.

I love Emerald nuts 100-calorie snack packs. Their cacao almonds are my go-to dessert.

Nutritionist suggested I add nuts to my diet since I was struggling to get in enough calories. Actually it's helped my weight loss so far. Time will tell. I weigh out my servings and count them in my daily goals.

I do love nuts as a snack but I have to be really careful or I would eat the lot !

I tend to buy the Tesco small pack nuts so I don't go overboard. I love the almonds.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
