Anyone "loose weight" in the eye area?

Recommended Posts

So the top of my eyes below my brows are pretty puffy and have always been, and I've attributed it to my weight. I love doing makeup but hate it because of my eyes, did any of you ladies notice any "weight loss" in the eye area, or is this something I'm just doomed with? Lol

People lose a lot of weight in their faces so I would think you would lose there. I know people who had to get new glasses because their nose got skinnier, people go down in shoe size, people lose all over!

I have noticed i have lost weight in my hands. they arent as puffy. I truly believe when you lose, you lose it everywhere. I have also known others whose faces completely change and they are nearly unrecognizable. It is definitely a possibility!

I knew of a man who decided to lose weight because his facial fat was folding over his face and eyes. So, I'm pretty sure you will lose weight there, as well.

I did. Had to get new glasses. One day at work and I bent over to raise a toilet seat and my glasses fell off my face and into the toilet. I was going to put them on my face again so it was time for new glasses.

Sometimes a "puffier" face is also associated with hypothyroidism (low thyroid). I know from my own experience that once I was diagnosed and on medicine my face de-puffed a lot. Just a thought.

But I still hope to lose some weight in the face area!

@@janedoe92 Ha Ha Ha!! I love this post because I never thought to see someone lose weight around their eyes. But, it is so possible! I've went down half a shoe size and I haven't even had my surgery yet. I can't wait to say good bye to my big rear and hips!

I learn something new every day. This is great!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
