lag1949 0 Posted September 11, 2007 My insurance wants me to go to a Nutritionist for 6 months. Has anyone had to do this. What exactly do they do?
sweetpea51 3 Posted September 11, 2007 lag1949 - I had to go once before my surgery and am supposed to go every once in a while after, which I haven't done yet. I was only banded in Aug. of this year and am having my first fill on Friday, so i will probably ask the Doc if I need to go. It isn't my insurance that wants me to go though - I guess going helps to keep you on track of your eating, you know , what you're doing right or wrong. SD Chick 0 Posted September 12, 2007 I had to go before the surgery and then she visited me in the hospital and I will see her for the 4th time on Friday - she is the one that told me what I could eat as the Dr. has never mentioned it. My insurance does not pay for my visits to the dietitian.
