vannababyy22 410 Posted November 17, 2016 Weird question but... Does anyone chew gum at all? I remember in the early stages my doctor said not to do it, but I'm 6 weeks out now I was seeing if other chew gum? simpsongrad 85 Posted November 17, 2016 My doctor said no for 6 months. Makes me sad because I am (have been) an avid gun chewer all my life. I am hoping my six month hiatus will break me of the habit for good. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Aggiemae 739 Posted November 17, 2016 Chewing stimulates the stomach to make digestive acid, when you chew gum you don't swallow food. BTW, consider using the "search" feature before you ask a question. Many veterans, the BEST source of accurate information, don't even read newbie questions because they get sick of answering the same question every day. I have to be careful that I don't put too much air in my pouch from chewing gum. I don't some, gave up carbs and plan to keep my sugar free gum. Ssze1109 163 Posted November 18, 2016 I chew gum just to get a taste out of my mouth. Not for long though. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
