Jacklyn55 0 Posted September 11, 2007 I am about to go for my 1st consult to get banded and I am wondering if there is anything you cannot eat. Whether the DR. told you, or if it just makes you sick. I am curious how it will be.

jglong54 0 Posted September 11, 2007 Depending on how your doctor has his practice set up, but they should either have a nutritionist working with you, or at least some type of printed info that gives you an idea on what you should or should not eat. I had my band done on 5/4, so I've been doing some minor experimenting on foods for the last month. Sometimes it just depends on the band that day, something I could eat fairly well last week, I just can't this week. If you'll read through some of the other 'food' threads, you see others trials and tribulations with many types of foods... some good and some not so good. The lapband seems to be a walking adventure at times... but I'm glad I did it. I'm down almost 50 lbs and feel so much better already. Good luck!
Chickie 15 Posted September 11, 2007 What can't I eat? People. Lambs tongue (yick) Cars & Buildings (although I am yet to try, I am just assuming I can't) Lots of things. What I can do, is eat most things that are healthy, in moderation. I prefer to concentrate on what I *can* eat rather than dwell on what I can't. Makes for a happier person. That said, what people can and cannot eat always differs. Best of luck.
JJB 2 Posted September 12, 2007 I cant eat brownies. I guess that is a good thing. But when I did try and eat them I think they clogged my stomach or something. Because I had a stomach ache for about an hour. Other then that everything gors down to easy. I need a fill.
