Something wrong with the notifications box

There is something wrong with the notification box since yesterday. I can see I have x notifications but when I click on it, there is only this circle spinning around like it's loading something but it doesn't.

The site also seems slower than usual.

Where do you get that ? Or see that ???! Ugh this app is so confusing to me ! My emails say I have all these notifications but when I come on here here I find none !!!

In the upper right corner of the site is a symbol that looks like these comic speech bubbles. If you have a notification you can see a little red number there.
