erp 2,016 Posted November 16, 2016 Absolutely, most of us were on a diet before surgery. Depending on what you are allowed to eat, lean Protein and veggies are the key to filling up. drinks lots of Water helps too. Stick with it, you're worth it.

Farcaster 80 Posted November 16, 2016 Thank you! I'm trying my hardest I drink Protein shakes eat noting but lean Protein Drink lots of Water but I'm still hungry I really hope this surgery will change that I know it has for me. My doctor actually told me that I should expect to not feel hunger after the surgery. I can't say that he was completely right on that front. I do still get an empty, grumbly, even unhappy feeling in my tummy if I go for a long time without eating -- that happens if I do something stupid like not eating anything until lunch time, for instance. BUT, the feeling that usually went along with that of: I really want to eat pizza or scarf down a hamburger right now; that's 100% gone.
sunsetsue 67 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Right...you just don't know how your body will react to the surgery that's the risk we take but it's a risk I'm willing to take. I hope and pray that my body reacts positively this is where my faith has to kick in Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited November 16, 2016 by sunsetsue
Butterflywarrior 241 Posted November 16, 2016 I'm a step over three weeks out, nd I feel frequent hunger and four bites does not fill me on most foods but five or six often does. I had to put in some light carbs before I got satiety ... I've heard does happen to some people that they don't feel the fullness and styff until they are in the final eating phase... this comforts me because it's hDd not to feel frustrated and angry
virtuous83 13 Posted November 17, 2016 I can relate. I did exactly what you said, I stayed prayed up. The thing fear that we fear the most will become our reality! Stay positive and continue to stay prayed up, the Word tells us man don't live by bread alone! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
