KrissyMac 3 Posted November 16, 2016 Hi everyone- I start purées tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions of foods that were ok puréed? The thought of puréed meat sounds really awful. Any tips! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
krissyleigh 30 Posted November 16, 2016 I just pureed tuna with a bit of mayo, relish and mustard to give it a tuna salad taste. It was gross. Nothing really taste all that great these days tho (2 weeks post op). Good luck, let me know if you yet any good ideas. TiredOfMyself 141 Posted November 16, 2016 I puréed BSCBreast, a single baby carrot and some cauliflower mash (made with FairLife milk) with a little bit of chicken broth. I mixed in Protein Powder and it wasn't gross. It was a huge relief from liquids.

What kind of volume are you eating with the chili, etc? I had pureed taco Soup tonight and was able to eat 8oz in less than 30 minutes. I just started pureed today. It was a little uncomfortable but went away in less than 15 minutes. I have been able to get my liquids and protein in since day 2. indyjeff 45 Posted November 28, 2016 My plan called for 1/2 cup portions during the puree stage. The denser the food was (refried Beans, chili, etc), the less I could eat. With Soups, I could eat a little more (maybe 3/4 of a cup), but tried to eat just 1/2 cup, as directed by my NUT. Good luck! The puree stage only lasts for a short period of time.
