Ms. Brightside 121 Posted November 14, 2016 Hello! I am waiting for my initial consultation (on 12/2!!!) & am doing as much research as I can in the interim. I understand that each surgeon's recommendations are different and individual healing times vary, however, I am trying to get a good idea for how long I will need to be out of work. Just wondering if anyone has undergone both laporascopic gallbladder removal, as well as sleeve gastrectomy and how the healing time/down time compared? Many thanks! Aggiemae 739 Posted November 14, 2016 The gallbladder was easier for me. I was up and paid. Free the same day. The incision where the stomach was removed was paid fuel for a few days and tender for about 10 days. Wearing a compression tank top REALLY helped with the incision pain. The New Kel 1,312 Posted November 14, 2016 Gallbladder was a quick recovery. No over night stay in the hospital. I was up and going after about 3 days rest. Pain was tolerable. Expect more like 2-3 weeks of recovery for sleeve.

laceemouse 631 Posted November 16, 2016 Sleeve was easier for me, maybe because I wanted it? I had severe gas pain after my gallbladder surgery, none after the sleeve. I woke up very dizzy and nauseated after the gallbladder surgery, this time I told them about that so they gave me better meds to combat that stuff.
