kittykatja85 34 Posted November 14, 2016 Okay so bird day is coming up and I'm the cook. (Hosting some current and former Army friends). Now I'm obviously gonna make the traditional stuff for them, but I obviously can't eat the dressing or a lot of the other stuff. So what do y'all do for turkey day for yourselves? Eat only the turkey? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
reree6898 1,164 Posted November 14, 2016 Make some wls friendly sides as well as the traditional ones like mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes for example, but still have your focus be on the Protein when you eat.
blizair09 3,250 Posted November 14, 2016 To be honest, I'm probably going to follow the same daily plan that day that I follow every other day.
rolosmom7 740 Posted November 14, 2016 Turkey and wls friendly sides - green bean casserole, sweet potatoe (without the marshmallows or carmalized glaze), pearl onions, homemade cranberry all come to mind. Skip the rolls and stuffing. I plan to have a slice of turkey 1 bite of everything else. Save the rolls.
