cjorndorf 11 Posted November 13, 2016 Does anyone still suffer from head hunger after surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
shedo82773 1,236 Posted November 13, 2016 I am 3 years out from my RNY and I still don't have physical hunger. I think I am one of the lucky ones. But...head hunger is REAL and I still deal with it all the time!! Sorry, I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear.
FrankyG 1,450 Posted November 13, 2016 Yes. Didn't have it for around 3 months or so after surgery, but it did come back and is just as annoying to deal with as before surgery. I had to learn to distract myself from it, and it never really goes away. My coping methods: Get something cold to drink Go for a walk/bike ride Declutter something Do some housework Hobby stuff (paint/draw/craft) Read Play games online Paint nails (bonus is I can't mess with anything while they're drying) Take a bubble bath Try out makeup/hairstyles Take a nap

Treadmillwalker 486 Posted November 13, 2016 Yes, I actually dream of pizza. My head hunger comes and goes. When it hits I change what I'm doing like Frankiesgirl suggests above. Had lapband surgery 10/12/
