Boobs and bras. :-)

Recommended Posts

What kind of bras have you used once you have lost a lot of weight? I'm looking specifically for bras to use just around the house, comfortable and soft bras that are supportive, lift and separate :). No wires and really comfortable.

I know lots of good bras but they all have wires. I'm not comfortable without wires and even my sports/around the house bras have them.

Good luck, I hope you get some good sugestions

Hanes makes a T-shirt bra that is amazing. Kohl's has an awesome selection of bras.

I'm also looking for an expensive bra. My band size keeps shrinking but my cup size keeps going up. So frustrating

If you look at this style, compared to the balconet, you get more cleavage. Also the way the wires work/position/made is really unique. If you have side boob, it really smooths you out and pushes it all to the front.

I really like Torrid's (if you're still plus sized) bralettes. No wires, and because they are stretchy you can size down and get a better fit. http://www.torrid.com/intimates/bralettes-bandeaus/

I'm sure non plus size lines have bralettes too. Plus they're cute!

I just picked whatever was comfy and cheap ..

I think at one point I had to buy 3 different sizes in one month so it wasn't worth spending too much.

Are you post op? Where do you find a bralette that fits large boobies? I love the look of them but will they really support my DDs?
That's the problem I have. I was a g/h cups pre op and now I'm an I cup

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
