@H.150ToGo I was 12/8 I don't think you see the weight come off that fast. I've lost 70 in total (most pre-op) and no one has noticed. Lol are you still swollen? I am, that may be not helping with weight loss yet. I don't think I'm getting enough Protein yet just doing my best to drink and take Vitamins. So far no issues although worried about the Iron I'm about to take. When I was prego it would make me throw up. Fingers crossed!! I'm realizing smarter to add Protein Powder in yogurt or Soup will give me more for my bang but need to get unflavoured for soup. I think I got 60 think it's suppose to be 80. I also use soy milk to mix which has more protein then milk. It is hard

I think it was just the shock to myself that it looked different. I don't pay much attention to my body and was covered up through all the preop weightless and IV retention so it caught me off guard. And no most of my swelling id gone after the endless potty breaks.... iys taken a lot ot the pain away too! How did iron go for you? I take it all the time but never had a problem. Hopefully your first experience was related to the pregnancy and you can handle it now

Lord, it hadn't even dawned on me that I haven't had a BM. I feel nauseous but I haven't thrown up. I feel like if I did I would feel better.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
