Butterflywarrior 241 Posted November 13, 2016 There was recently a thread on this under the same title lol... search for it, it's really good! Ask ur weight loss place for referrals to therapist that work with bariatric patients or specialize in eating disorders etc If no one is available like this, look for therapist that do cbt- cognitive behavioral therapy bc that's one of the best for dealing with food, emotions and behaviors.... Also look for that post in the search area en titled Therapy... It might be helpful for more info on just what you asked... Therapy helps me loads with these and other issues

Winery's g what kind of therapist to look for that would deal with this Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I totally understand. I'm having better days now (15 days post op) but it's like going withdrawal/rehab/detox all at once. I drink alot of Water and startwd shakes but I do have a problem with sugar amd it feels like I'm breaking up with food. It's a slow and long process but it helps to talk about it. Aggiemae 739 Posted November 13, 2016 If your surgeons office doesn't have a therapist ask the NUT they usually know who's good. I can't imagine doing this without counseling and my support group.
Alexis99 67 Posted November 13, 2016 I think any therapist that works with eating disorders would help. Unless of course you do not have an unhealthy relationship with food. Good luck. I have been in therapy for years and my surgery is next month. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
