thmitchell 17 Posted November 7, 2016 I was put on a 3 week diet and I am on day 11 and this has been the hardest thing mentally I have ever experienced. I have lost 17 pounds so far! I have had some weak moments though. I was starving and I just couldn't drink another Protein drink so I ate some broccoli. I know I'm halfway there but another week and a half seems so long. I never really realized the true relationship I had with food until now. I know that I will be able to eat again but it doesn't feel like it at the moment. Some positives have come from it though. I feel like I have more energy. I don't have that bloated feeling. I also think mentally it has helped even though it has been a struggle. I am grateful for the opportunity to do this and I know I can it's just sometimes we need to let it out to people who actually understand what we are going through. Be gentle with yourself - you are about to undergo a major life change. 17 pounds is a nice amount -- go buy yourself a new lipstick or other makeup as a reward -- even if its from Walgreens or CVS. I definitely look at food a little differently and I still have the bad cravings but I ultimately think about how bad it is and it stops me from those thoughts. I figured if I feel like I absolutely have to have something it needs to be nutritional and low carb. I might have to reward myself with something! Maybe a pedicure! Thank you for your kind words!
