so I am now on stage two of my diet plan. On my diet plan it says that I can have puréed Soups. And I can also have soft cheese. Any ideas of what I can get at the store? Obviously the things have to be low in sodium and have no sugars.

I think when I was starting out, I ate half of a Laughing Cow or half of a Babybel. I found I didn't want more than that.

1% cottage cheese is also an excellent source of Protein. I have been eating it for the last 2 years.

Measure it out but at this stage you will likely only want a spoonful or two. it is very filling and keeps you full for a very long time.

DJ, how do you eat cottage cheese? Any mix-ins, or salsa topped, or ...

I like it in things (like a lasagne made with zucchini strips sted of noodles) but I can't quite get into plain. Help.

Yes, pickle juice ????. I mixed it in Greek yogurt, too, but it wasn't as good. (I have a slight pickle obsession. There are 7 different jars of them in my fridge. None of which I can eat right now!)

Try Eggface's ricotta bake (you can google it), it's wonderful! Also, black Beans with salsa on top and a smidge of cheese, microwaved, is great! Hummus was one of my favorites (eaten with a spoon). Cottage cheese I eat with salt and pepper on it, but I've also heard of putting splenda on it.

I like cottage cheese with pepper. :)

My husband eats it with hit sauce.

I made cottage cheese "fluff" and added two scoops of GENEPRO. I divided it into 7 - 5oz cups at 122cals 14g carbs and 23 grams Protein.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
