Oatmeal or grits

Recommended Posts

Definitely oatmeal over grits since it's a superfood in that it has high Fiber, lowers cholesterol and boosts metabolism.

I didn't eat either early out. I still really don't eat them at 17 months out, although I probably could. I occasionally mix a tablespoon of oatmeal into my yogurt and let it sit in the fridge overnight - but that's about the extent of it.

Every once in a while I eat oatmeal. It has lots of fiber and is good for you.

I never eat grits......although shrimp and grits sounds fantastic.

I suspect it would feel heavy in my tummy even now two years later.

I eat oatmeal but make it natural not from the packet since it has a lot more sugar and carbs. Oatmeal is really good for you.

Hey guys, just wondering how any of you are eating these two items. It has so many carbs in just 1/2 just wondering what everyone is doing. Let me know.

I eat oatmeal but make sure I add Protein.

If I ate grits I would also make sure I added some Protein --- cheese and shrimp sound good, too!

I love oatmeal, )The rolled or 6 grain type), not instant.

I am avoiding it right now due to the higher carbs, but when I get to goal, I will fit it into my meal plan again.

My NUT says absolutely not on either of those until at least 6 months post-op.

I sometimes eat a half serving of oatmeal or cream of wheat (high in iron). If I make oatmeal, I make with milk to boost Protein.
