jessjames 234 Posted November 6, 2016 Hey, I had my surgery on the 26th of may, I was 260 pounds, as of today just a little over the 5 month mark I weigh 169. Almost 100 pounds in 5 months (wth?) My appetite just has not returned, I have many days.. like today, where I am literally forcing myself to eat something to the point it makes me feel sick. I find drinking 2 litres a day of Water a constant, daily struggle (I manage about 1ltr plus Water from food??) I just want to know, does it get better? Will my appetite return? Will I be able to eat more than 3 tablespoons of food eventually?? I never thought I'd say this but I'm concerned, will the weight loss slow down? I'm still losing 2-3 pounds per week at the moment with no signs of that changing and I'm scared that if I can't start eating more I'm going to get ill?? Just a little Enlightenment from some veterans and long-term sleevers would be amazing. Jess Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Aggiemae 739 Posted November 6, 2016 You need to discuss your problem with your surgeon or GP. Please don't put it off.
OzRoo 1,492 Posted November 6, 2016 Yes, please call your surgeon and PCP. I can't remember if you had gastric sleeve or bypass done. Could be a stricture, but you need to see your doctor. My appetite came back in months 6-7, and I could eat more. However I did not lose as much weight as you have. Good luck, please pick up the phone, and let us know how you went @@jessjames
