My goal is to get my Protein in... That's hard enough. In addition, I like what I like. I do enjoy the sangria herbal tea. Once I'm able to hold a little more in my sleeve, I'll visit. Maybe it will be a 2017 treat!

Missing coffee but not as much as I thought I would. Just 12 and I am on the lowest does of narcotic pain meds that I have used for years. I think the all Protein diet has reduce my chronic inflation.

Oh yes in that case get your protein! ????. I'm 3 weeks post op but I'm able to chug Water at this point so it's a little easier for me to get extra fluids in.

I'm all about Starbucks.

My clinic allows for a cup of coffee a day - not lattes or mochas or other milk based drinks. I've transitioned well to Americanos and straight espresso...in fact, the sweet drinks turn me off now.

I know everyone's plan is different but I was allowed coffee right away. I only have about 1/2 to 1 cup a day. I don't enjoy it like I use to.

I'm 18 months out and have Starbucks almost once a week. Some days, I have just a dark roast coffee with sugar free Syrup other times I have a skinny peppermint mocha. I account for those calories just like anything else. I normally do not drink my calories but every once in awhile I will indulge.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
