well what would you prefer some who's being condescending, and antagonizing? People make mistakes clearly corrected. But no worries I'll mark you and lipstick as people I'll never ask advise from. Thank you.

@shelterdawg.. I'm sorry, I thought you heard the mic drop.. let me drop it again for you - a lil louder this time. I posted to the original poster and I think she can read. I do me, you do you. Worry about you and yours.

These are mine, sweet pea :)

Dang, this beats fishgate.

I don't know...Fishgate kind of sets the standard for the genre, don't you think?

This is the third time I have asked myself "is this a serious post or someone trying to start drama for fun?" (Ie trolling) since I started reading it.

I don't feel any closer to drawing a conclusion yet. Is this for real?

Ask for advice and then give a black eye to everyone who tries to give said advice? Why ask then?

@@atzvsg Fishgate is a silly thread that got going because someone got SUPER DUPER mad about something that was said and being SUPER DUPER mad, typed 'carp' instead of 'crap'. You can imagine the swirl around the drain that commenced ;-)

Some of the most fun we have around here is when we all take a minute and laugh about how absurd we can all be...because we can all be pretty absurd from time to time!

@shelterdog It is kinda silly. I suppose as is this thread. I did see this post got a lot of attention. I've had a lot of PMs but no gum doesn't give me gas. It helps the ice pops help more than anything I love jell-O I though about getting like a baby toy for teething. I get lock jaw a lot. So my jaw needs to chomp or move I' do sometimes end up chewing on the wooden stick from the ice pop

Glad to hear that.

The best teachers I ever had (in school, university and life) weren't the ones who always agreed with me or gave me an A. The best teachers I've had were the ones who challenged me in my thinking, provoked me to make a point about my assumptions and sometimes slapped me down (metaphorically, of course) when I became too confident, too soon.

I learned how to stand by my convictions not by being placated but by being dared to.

To the op and anyone else who didn't like the sound advice given, albeit several times.

What you may or may not realize, is that there is a lot of people just reading and not posting. What the veterans are doing is making sure that they don't start any self destructive behavior, in addition to giving advice to the op.

Eating disorders or doing something that can damage your newly operated pouch or sleeve will be adressed firmly, since it can lead to dangerous situations.

If you want private advice, don't post on public board. Simple.

Also I've noticed in other weight loss groups that sometimes people just post for encouragement instead of advice. They're really looking to hear other's tell them that what they're doing is okay, or that everyone does it. Those kind of posts get sticky when the general consensus is that they should stop.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
