Xombae 113 Posted November 5, 2016 I'm in my hotel room with my husband and was wondering if there's anything I can do to get comfortable for sleep. I'm normally a side sleeper, and it's super hard to get in and out of the bed. It hurts so bad.
genn 460 Posted November 5, 2016 I heard it's best to sleep in a recliner the first few days. I haven't had my surgery yet tho scheduled the 22nd lots of luck on a speedy recovery and pounds shedding fast!! Blessed74 2 Posted November 5, 2016 I'm in my hotel room with my husband and was wondering if there's anything I can do to get comfortable for sleep. I'm normally a side sleeper, and it's super hard to get in and out of the bed. It hurts so bad.Sitting up right with pillows behind me helped me alot for the first week (3wks post). A recliner is definitely a great idea. Try it, it might help. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App
gustavio 439 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) I slept on my back kind of hitched to one side. Used many pillows. Post op pain meds helped me sleep also. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited November 5, 2016 by gustavio

PorkChopExpress 821 Posted November 5, 2016 Lots of pillows behind your back and head, just prop yourself up at an angle. That's what I did, slept like a baby.
jeybcakes 2 Posted November 5, 2016 I'm 4 days post-op and used the pain medicine for sleeping. Have your husband help you get out of bed or put a chair on your side of the bed, then roll using the chair for support to sit up.
