Travelher 915 Posted November 4, 2016 Anyone else have a hard visible lump where their port used to be? I assume it is scar tissue but I swear it is a bigger lump than was there when I had a port in there.
KristenLe 5,979 Posted November 4, 2016 I'm not a LapBand patient but several of my incisions have hard lumps under them. The Dr said this was normal - that healing tissue will harden before softening. Maybe it's the same for your port site.
Travelher 915 Posted November 4, 2016 could be. I hope it gets better. it is a visible hard lump about 4 inches in diameter as i (hopefully) lose weight if it doesn't soften it is going to be even more visible. (though not as visible as an extra 90 lbs
Gopheritgirl 1 Posted November 20, 2016 I don't want to frighten you but please get the lump checked out as I had a lump and I just ignored it ,it turned out to be an abscess which burst causing blood poisoning and resulted in life saving emergency surgery .. Lufferly 7 Posted December 1, 2016 I have the exact opposite. My scar from where my port was, has adhesions on the inside that pull it in so it's a constant indented spot. Bugs the crap outta me! I was REALLY hoping that they could go in through that scar for my RNY, but alas, they couldn't use it.
